Welcome to my early works pages, where I share the first DJ compilation mixes I had ever done, made of the stuff that got me hooked on trance music in the first place! Each of these mixes are just under 80mins and perfect for burning to audio CD, just like my later Transcension series mixes.

These sets hold a very special place in my heart and a great many of my own house parties have been enjoyed while listening them — the motive for me to even start making my own mixes in the first place!

The Rebirth:
Follow up to The Rise Of Arrakis and another of my all-time favourites! Mixed two years later but still following in the same style of melodic, uplifting trance I so love. Some of the same tunes have even been recycled from earlier mixes, as do bear in mind, these mixes were made to please my own taste buds! I hope the same works for you too though, and if there’s another mix you can’t miss out on, this is it! Featuring some of the all-time trance classics such as Tiësto’s remix of Delerium’s Silence, the track that revolutionized trance music forever, along with another of my all-time favourite tracks Suburban Train and also Till We Meet Again by Push… Okay, so looking at the tracklist, this set may be quite a bit Tiësto influenced… Then again, his tracks were the best of its time and thus, perfectly crystallized in this timeless mix!

Enjoy… this is definitely a can’t miss!

Ah, here’s an interesting one! Mixed by request of a friend of mine, this set reveals the deeper, more progressive side of trance… so close and overlapping on the genre of progressive house that it’s hard to discern between the two. This mix perfectly embodies the ‘Global Underground’ scene of the 90′s and takes you on a dark and progressive journey through it…

The Rise Of Arrakis:
My favourite mix of all-time! This is the style of trance music I live and breathe… Melodic, uplifting, emotional, epic, dreamy and everything in between! This is the type of trance that gets your emotions going, inducing tension at every breakdown, building up to a climax and setting you free! Nothing beats melodic, uplifting trance in my books, and this was made in a time that had the best of the best in uplifting trance. They really don’t make it like they used to, and for that reason, this mix remains number one in my books! My mixing skills have also been nicely polished by the time this mix was done, and I believe it will show, delivering to you a truly epic journey through the ages…

Arrakeen Sand Storm:
When I say these were made with the ‘house party’ in mind, this mix truly embodies that. Let me rephrase that… ‘house (rave) party’! This is the harder side of trance… BANGIN’ in every sense of the word!!! It’s the stuff you wanna get up, jump to and get your groove on! It kicks off in true hard-trance fashion to even slightly bordering on hard-house as the night goes on mid-mix, and of course taking off completely with hands-in-the-air uplifting, uptempo melodic trance right at the end to finish of the night in style! This is one you can’t pass up on! I know I never did! As the name implies, this mix was inspired by its centerpiece, Darude’s Sandstorm. Need I say more?

Trance Arrakis 2000:
The first of my early works to be shared is called Trance Arrakis 2000, and is the third mix I had ever done in my life. It starts off with some awesome harmonic vocals and takes off quickly into a little epic uplifting trance, some progressive in-between, then quickly getting more hard-hitting with some electro-trance flavour characteristic of the decade, before finishing off with some more banging and even a touch of psychedelic trance. Trance Arrakis 2000 truly gives you a good taste of trance music across the spectrum!
